Sophie Hansen

Sophie is a passionate food writer and farmer.

 

She lives on a deer and cattle farm 4 hours west of Sydney near Orange with her husband and children.

 

Having trained in print journalism she has had  20 years experience as a feature writer, which included a three year stint in northern Italy for Slow Food Editoire.

She is the author and photographer of three cookbooks, Local is Lovely, A Basket by the Door, and most recently In Good Company.

She loves celebrating good seasonal and local food, supporting the lovely farmers that produce it and the cooks that share it.

 

She helps people in her industry with social media training, content planning and creation and offers all kind of helpful workshops and tailored custom packages to suit a variety of needs.

 

Above all, Sophies loves ‘simple, tasty and seasonal food made with love and shared generously’.
